What Is Diwali?
The word Diwali is a contraction of "Deepavali", and can be translated to "row of lights." Diwali is a Hindu, five day festival held in honour of Goddess Lakshmi (goddess of wealth and prosperity). This festival celebrates the time of transition from darkness to light and falls on a day in October or november after monsoon season in India. This signifies good over evil and the light empowers people to commit to good deeds bringing people closer to God.
What Religion Celebrates Diwali?
Diali is a hindu festival which helps many feel closer to god. Hinduism does not have a single founder and has been shaped by many different people in different ways. Hinduism have thousands of Gods and Goddeses but the three main ones are; Raman the creator, Mijnu the preserver, Sheba the destroyer.
